Laptop Screen Replacement

Good Night Guys,

Is there a place I can go to see which laptop screen fits another? I have an acer aspire 6530 16" and the prices that i am now looking at are ridiculous, i would just like to know if there is a site that can show me the screen and which other laptops use it to better help me in my search for price and expediency. Google for DIY. I got a new screen for a dell from a place in Canada (good service) and replaced myself. Very happy with the outcome.

Could you elaborate a little more, like the name of the site you ordered it from ?

DIY is pretty vague and comes up with a ton of stuff having nothing to do with a site you can order parts from.

It is a simple matter of how long that particular size has been in production. The replacement screens, at lower prices, are "pulls" from warranty returns. It takes a while for these to reach the market, a newer design has not had enough time for large numbers of components to reach the used market.

Buying brand new is usually not cost-effective, as you have seen.
