  1. Hello,
I'm attempting to make vcd using
    Sefy's Classical Newbie guide.

Can someone tell me what is the difference between Interlace and Non-Interlace video? This is a setting in TMPGEnc.I don't know which one to use.

    Thanks for any help

  2. Basicly it's the way the image is being played back, i'll let the bigger experts explain exactly what it means for quality, but let me just note that all TV's (Even the new 100hz ones) are all Interlaced, while all PC monitors (and I think also the HDTV's) are Non-Interlaced.

All DVD's as far as I know are Non-Interlaced/Progressive, while all VCD's i've noticed are Interlaced.

Hope this bit of info helps you, i'm sure vitualis/adam or someone of the bigger experts in the field will come to explain in more details
    Email me for faster replies!
