The file name, which was not included, will reveal the type of video -- flv, mp4, whatever.

No you didn't.
You cut out the "GENERAL" section.
I just tested it on an AVI, MKV, MP4, WMV, MOV, FLV. They ALL show the "general" section in text mode & text export.
For MP4, you might not have to do anything...
For MPEG2, I'd use ConvertXtoDVD.

It looks like the audio/video streams are already compatible with the MP4 container/format (in other words, you can copy them without having to actually convert them). I would try FLV Extract. Just tell it to copy both the audio and video to MP4.

for re-wrapping to mp4 (not re-encoding) you can use avidemux
video=>copy
audio=>copy
format=>mp4
another option is ffmpeg or some of the ffmpeg GUI's
ffmpeg -i input.flv -vcodec copy -acodec copy output.mp4
To re-encode to mpeg2 you can use avidemux as well
video=>mpeg2
audio=>ac3 (you probably don't want to keep it aac)
format=>mpeg2-ps
If you are making a DVD , you can use all-in-one tools such as avstodvd , which will also author
