I just got the Apex AD 5131 dvd player, I had the Apex AD 703 and was very satisfied until for some reason it just stopped playing. Luckily I had the extended warranty from Ciruit City. Anyhow so far I am satified with the player. It has played everything I have thrown at it so far with no problem except for a few VCD's. The coloration is off, there is like a green shadow down the sides of a few. I tried some old ones that I had and the same thing. What would cause the color to be offset like that? Anyone else every have this problem and correct it. The VCD's were downloaded offline and burned with Nero, some with Fireburner. The old ones that I check, I dont know what they were authored with cause I purchased them but some did play. I am using various media, and was wondering if that could also be the problem. I use Acer, Memorex, Imation and just started using Fujifilm(cause they are cheap). Should I use better media and if so what brand? Any suggestion would be appreciated.
