I live in New Zealand and purchased a Pioneer DV220V-K in 2010. I would like to upgrade the firmware level but am unsure which upgrade I should use. Any Recommendations? It there a "latest version" firmware I should upgrade to.
Also, my player doesn't seem to recognise any of the Flash Drives I plug into it. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I have a recommendation, but you're not going to like it.
You shouldn't upgrade the firmware at all unless there is a really compelling reason to do so - that is, an upgrade has a feature that you simply cannot live without. I haven't done a firmware upgrade on a BluRay player ever. I did downgrade the firmware on my Insignia to get it on a firmware that could make it region free, but otherwise I deliberately do not do firmware upgrades. You need to understand that firmware upgrades can actually be negative. Look up Cinavia. Some firmware upgrades add support for Cinavia. Most of us find that to be a huge negative.
