I recently downloaded a few files that were in flv format....ok while watching these files they startoff playing perfect the video and audio is in sync...but i noticed the longer the video plays the more the audio gets ahead of the video and by the end of the files they are way out of sync....does anyone know how to fix this issue?...i know that vlc player and media player classic can change the audio while in the process of watching the file to keep it in sync with the video but i'm looking for a program or a way to fix it and save it so the audio don't keep getting ahead of the video everytime i reopen the files and watch them....i believe the files were like this when i downloaded them cause every player i use i get the same result.....sorry if i posted this in the wrong section...i'm new

I guess you have tried find a better source because fixing progressive out of sync isssues is not that simple.

But maybe you can make a mkv from the flv using mkvtoolnix and add the stretch by value, see http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/doc/mkvmerge-gui.html#trackoptions . But I'm not sure if it's supported by all video players then.
