Megui encoding stops

Hi
I'm having a strange problem with megui. After i create the avisynth script and choose all audio video settings,the encoding begins as usual. But after encoding for sometime it stops and the processing rate starts decreasing and time remaining starts increasing. It sometimes happens during first pass and sometimes during second pass.It just freezes suddenly. For ex: I was encoding a 2 hr movie and at 19.25% i noticed it slowing down constantly. I decided to let it go on and came back and checked after 1 hr and it was still at 19.25%.
I've been having this problem for 2-3days now.It was working fine before. I tried reinstalling and updating but still the same problem.
Megui also says that the video is not yv12 but when i checked with vdub it shows as yv12. The same video didn't get the yv12 message 2 days ago but now suddenly it annoyingly shows up everytime i encode the video.
I've been finding megui very buggy lately. does it have any compatibility issues with windows7? because i didn't find it annoyingly buggy when i was using xp a year ago.
