I have a spanish VIDEO_TS file from which I wish to extract some russian subtitles so that I can use google translate to create english subtitles. I this point I do not have a clue what I'm doing. (I only just learned what a IFO file was, I think). I am doing this because there seems to be no english subtitles for such an old film.
BTW I'm only using the smilies for practice.
55 year old newb learning to use his early christmas present - this is difficult, give me an cardiac arrest any day.

You must OCR the DVD image subtitles to text. You can try Subtitle edit.
But I don't know how well it works with russian cyrillic characters.
