I saw that story earlier. I doubt it will pan out for video. The sample looked terrible.

I doubt it too - and if you've ever work with vector programs before you will agree - the processing requirements are way too high for video, and the quality too poor

I've developed an "I'll believe it when I see it" attitude about such things. Everything that gets money from a venture capitalist gets hyped as the next big thing, despite the fact that in the venture capital business a success rate of 1 in 5 projects is actually pretty respectable.
I also remember reading in a very respectable business source about 10 years ago that curve modelling was going to replace polygons in video games soon ...
