The cheapest DVD-R in Fry's is $4 in a 5-pack box. Your price is great.

  5. I paid 1.68 per blank Princo DVD-R at the swapmeet in costa mesa. Sam Quach was his name, his website is http://www.CalOptic.com He also had neat 1394 converter for any drive, be it optical or a hard drive. I bought one to convert my A03, he has 3 - 104s converted and was doing ripping burning and playback at the same time with a lowly P3 450 and only 128 mb of ram. All the hardrives were also converted, only the boot drive was not converted. As you see you getter prices at the swapmeet than from his website. I paid $50.00 for the converter.

    http://shop.ily.com/C_67.htm

Generic DVD-R Recordable Disc with jewel case $1.85
    (Part - ME-ILY-DVDR47)
    DVD-RW
    (Part - ME-CDR-DVDRW47)
    $2.00

Their web site shows slightly higher prices than this, but all you have to do is tell them you saw these prices on pricewatch.com.

I haven't tried these discs personally ... yet. But for this price, I can use them as test discs.
