  1. I need to divide a large MKV file into four sections. Avidemux kicks out audio sync by 28 seconds. SolveigMM AVI Trimmer + MKV produces perfect sync when played in VLC but the audio is not stable when played in my Samsung TV USB port. It sounds like a 59 fps audio spliced onto 25 fps video. Any ideas gratefully received.

  2. Could the TV play the original video without problems?

    Typically TV's don't make good players - they are very limited in what they can play

    Yes, the TV plays both the original and Avidemux versions.

  4. You can try splitting with mkvtoolnix (split by timecodes, no video preview, not frame accurate - only closest keyframe) . Make sure header compression removal is disabled in the options (devices , TV's frequently have problems with this option)
