    Hi,

I have an .mkv file. MediaInfo shows there are two audio tracks in the file - English DTS and Spanish A3.

But when I play the file with MPC, I can hear only Spanish. The audio options of MPC oalso show only one audio stream - Spanish AC3.

Can something be done to hear Englsih DTS or to check for sure whether there is English? Thanks.

It is most likely that the player does not support DTS sound format.
    Power DVD will do.

Have you installed haali media splitter and ac3 filter? And you might have to change audio track in the haali media splitter settings when you play in mpc, under play->filters->haali media splitter.

    Thank you.

No, I have not as I encountered the problem for the first time. Usually MPC plays them perfectly well.

Thank you for your advice, Baldrick. I will give it a try right to-day.

    Hi, Baldrick,

Thanks again for your advice. It works!

I am wondering if I convert the .mkv with ConvertXtoDV to a DVD, will the DVD still have both audio streams?

    Thanks!

I doubt that...but check the convertxtodvd site and changelog. You could also demux the audio from the mkv using mkvextractgui and add in convertxtodvd....or maybe not the dts, then you need something like dvd-lab pro.
