PROJECT
create a VCD from a DVD using TMPEG template VCD PAL CBR 1150
STEP1
ripped DVD using Smartripper 240
STEP2
created .d2v file and .wav file using DVD2AVI
STEP3
loaded .d2v file and .wav file in TMPEG Encoder (tried all versions)
left every setting at default except High Quality Motion Search.
RESULT
4:3 Ratio's perfect video and sound smooth video
16:9 Ratio's experienced jerky video (see workaround)
WORKAROUND
with 16:9 ratio dvd's i loaded VCD PAL template then unlocked it and selected
VBR encoding max:1160 min:1150 average:1150
the resulting PAL VCD played video perfectly.
QUESTION.........
why do 16:9 ratio dvd's experience jerky video ? when 4:3's encoded are ok?
COMPATABILITY
PAL VCD VBR encoded played perfectly on OMNI,XMS,ROWA, (Playstation 1 VCD Adaptor), (Doctor64)
BUT was jerky on a PIONEER dvd player.
CONCLUSION
I'd like to keep encoding at VCD PAL CBR and keep Compatatbilty 100%
any ideas anyone ? cus im nearly all out of them
Phil
p.s. i do encodes a SVCD and have no probs......... but i mainly do VCD's![]()
