I have been using the above with a Panasonic 42 Viera inch plasma tv since april. Sometimes... and especially when playing back some of the Olynpics opening ceremony coverage on the BBC that i recorded in HD.. the playback goes very jittery and is horrible to look at. Sometimes it plays fine! It is especially a pain in the rear when I record a channel in HD and watch another channel in SD. When i come to watch the HD recording.. it is almost unwatchable due to the jitter. Would rather not shell out for the blu ray DVD the BBC have brought out. Recording one SD channel and then watching another SD channel does not appear to have a problem.
TV has 4 HDMI sockets and I do use HDMI cables. There are just so many cables. Blu Ray player is Sony, TV is Panasonic Viera, PVR is Samsung and combined DVD / VHS Recorder is made by Toshiba
Aerial cable goes from the wall socket into a splitter type box (cannot remember why it is there now) and then one lead goes from there into UHF Antenna in socket on back of PVR. Then there is a lead that goes from the PVR UHF Ant Out socket into Toshiba Recorder. Many thanks for any advice anyone can give!
