Here are my steps:
- downloaded 1 hour of digital video (roughly 12 gig AVI file)
- used Virtual Dub to compress it into a roughly 3 gig AVI file using one of the good AVI codecs (Cinepak or Intel, can't remember which)
- used TMPG to convert to MPG2
It seems that TMPG has totally skewed the audio track. The first two minutes of the MPG2 are fine, but then there is 24 minutes of no audio. Then at minute 26, the audio for minute 3 starts up. So my audio is running 24 minutes behind the video.
I'm using TMPGEnc 2.5
Thanks,
Jeff
