If I'm breaking the rules, someone tell me

I was wondering if anyone wanted to connect via Email, AIM, MSN messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Oovoo, or Skype for any multimedia, encoding, conversion, even hardware/software specs discussion

I simply not satisfied with the amount of contacts I have that I can discuss this stuff with, If I make a new discovery, I want at least 1 contact online that I can message and tell it to...

    PM me or post here

I don't do private communications simply because I help more people by discussing on forums. Even friends and family are directed to sites I use, because it long-term helps more than just them -- and it means I don't have to repeat the same $hit over and over again.

What are you wanting to discuss, exactly?

To be honest, anything related to video/audio

For 1 thing, my discovery of the "optimal" encoding parameters for my iPod Touch

Lowest bitrate that doesn't produce any visible artifacts, at the highest visual quality the iPod Touch can display

I've cut my Breaking Bad episodes from 400MB each, to 240-250MB each

but thats just 1 thing, of the limitless things discussable

Then these (open) forums are the place for that...

BTW, those "discoveries" of yours are really only valid for the episode(s) you've encountered. Filesize=Bitrate & RunningTime, and Quality=Bitrate/Complexity, where Complexity can include lots of intraframe & interframe variables.

I say its valid for the entire series

Lol, there's not a single episode with a lot of high motion scenes or anything like that
