I have a Canon Vixia HF R200 camcorder. I also have a Mac OS 10.8.
I connect the camcorder (or the SD card) and I can easily import the video clips into iMovie 9. So far no problem.
The issue is that in order to delete some of the clips from the camcorder, I have to do that on the camcorder only. I like to selectively delete the clips that I have imported into iMovie from the SD card. (pretty much the same concept that exist with photos and iPhoto)
Is there a way to do that on the Mac?
Thanks

Didn't that camera come with software that also works on the Mac? I know my Sony camera came with software that would do what you want to do, but guess what, only for Windows OS.

The only software that came with the camera is for Windows.

Well you can guess what our next suggestion would be, but you probably will not like it.
