    Hey all,

I've recently noticed that two rips (Cabin in the Woods and Safe) weren't ripped properly. The scenes aren't in chronological order. I don't know why this is occurring. I noticed they are both Lionsgate films. Is it something they're doing to try and prevent piracy? Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a workaround solution yet? Or am I just grabbing the wrong stream?

    Thanks,

It's a form of copy protection.

    lordsmurf is quite correct.

Might be a good idea to tell us whether you ripped a DVD or BluRay and what you used to rip. Or don't tell us any more and don't get help. Your choice.

I don't understand the need to be snide jman98.

Since I'm on the Blu Ray ripping forums page, I think it's safe to assume I'm ripping Blu Rays. I'm using AnyDVDHD for the encryption and RipBot to rip.

Fair point on where you posted, but to be honest with you I didn't check the forum heading, so apologies on that. But newbies often do not post in the right place anyway, so assumptions are dangerous. And this is not your fault, but I am really sick and tired of new members who barely post any helpful info and expect help.

Is your AnyDVD HD up to date? You can have weird problems on rips if it is not. This is because of the constantly changing copy protection mechanisms that some studios resort to. Also, you are NOT "ripping" with RipBot. You are ripping with AnyDVD HD and CONVERTING with RipBot. Unfortunately DVDFab and internet morons (this does NOT mean you, so don't get all offended) use "rip" to mean "convert" when in technical terms "rip" only means to decrypt (if necessary) and copy music or a movie from a CD, DVD or BD disc to a hard drive and has nothing to do with converting. As a newbie I do not blame you for not using the correct terms, but now you know.

Both of your problems BluRays were released this month and AnyDVD doesn't update on a regular basis, so if you are up to date then you will have to wait for the next update to solve your problem.

He may be using AnyDVD HD in the background and using Ripbot264 straight from the original disc. In this case, I'd advise first ripping to the hard drive with the built in ripper within AnyDVD HD before trying to use Ripbot.

    ... in that order.

Kerry, that's exactly what I'm doing. And yes, AnyDVD was up to date when I ripped.

Thank you guys. I'll try your suggestions. And thanks for helping me understand the proper terminology, jman98.

If you have a registration key for AnyDVD (not using the trial in other words), there is a new beta version of AnyDVD released today that you might want to use on these movies: http://club.myce.com/f3/slysoft-anydvd-hd-updates-275818/index11.html#post2656741
