I haven't done any recording or editing for a few years and no longer have the setup I used to use so I'm almost starting from scratch again.
I have some stuff on UK Pal VHS that I'm playing on a domestic VCR into my Panasonic PVR/DVD Recorder. I record to the hard drive first, do some simple editing of removing ads etc.. then record to DVD. Once on DVD I might rip some things to share online but my rip ends up with horizontal lines all through it.
Anyone any suggestions to what I'm doing wrong please?

What are you ripping with? Can you upload a very brief (10-15 seconds) example of part of the video with the problem?
