  1. I just installed XMediaRecode 3.1.1.8. So far it seems really buggy. Drop down lists do not expand, cropping and resolution don't update correctly. But the big problem is after I add the job and click encode, it goes to the progress screen for about 1 second, then acts like it finishes. It creates a 0b file in the destination. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Maybe try an older version, https://www.videohelp.com/tools/XMedia-Recode/old-versions#download

Or just use another all-in-one converters like vidcoder, tx264, tencoder, xvid4psp, freemake video converter(adware).

  3. Thanks. I went back to the previous version I had and it's still not working but it turns out it's something about the input file. I was able to convert another video. The file that it won't convert is an mkv.

From suggestions in the comments part of its tools/downloads entry I installed version 3.0.6.7 and never had any problems.

  5. Thanks Hoser Rob. Maybe I'll upgrade to that. I tried TEncoder too and it had the same problem. Since it has a log I was able to determine it had something to do with the audio channel. I was trying to do a straight copy of video and audio to just basically change the container from mkv to mp4 or mov. If I re-encode the audio instead it works. I thought I had tried that before in XMedia Recode so the latest version may or may not still have a problem with it, but 1.0.9 is doing ok as long as I convert the audio.

Side note: Do you guys know what the Audio / Video Syncronisation checkbox does in XMedia Recode? If I don't check it will they fall out of sync?
