Pioneer DVD Recorder

Does anyone in Malaysia or Penang area have a used Pioneer DVD Recorder to sell ? Cause I could not find a Pioneer DVD Recorder for sales in all electrical dealer shop in Bkt Mertajam , Penang. When I call pioneer Malaysia, they told me that Pioneer Malaysia no more carry any DVD recorder.
My old Pioneer DVD recorder is having problem of accepting a new DVD-RW disc (old model -No Hard Disk inside)so I'm planning to buy used one with hard disk (model : DVR-560H-S or DVR 546H-S) with HDMI input.
If anyone have a Pioneer DVD recorder to sell, please call me at 6016-4417758 (Dennis).

Dennis, Pioneer stopped making all DVD/HDD recorders in 2008 when the company went thru a financial crisis and restructured its product offerings. The final models like 560 with HDMI are highly sought after and very few people sell them at reasonable prices. Remember also they will be at least four years old so you risk the problem of DVD drive failure reoccurring sooner than you'd hope.

If you are looking for a new DVD/HDD recorder, try to get a Panasonic DMR-EH59. These are still current, still sold in your part of the world, and are very similar to a Pioneer 560. I love my Pioneers, but their time has passed: if I needed a new recorder I would buy the Panasonic rather than take a chance on an old used Pioneer. Even the Panasonic is overdue to be discontinued: DVD recorders are not popular anymore. Buy one now while you still can.

I been using Pioneer DVD recorder for 6 years now so I know Pioneer is very user friendier in it's Remote Control functions that other brand don't have.
I have Pioneer DVR-330-S Remote Control and I intend to buy Pioneer DVR-645H-S from a website but from the web's photo I did not see any of these button (BACK CM SKIP), (PREV Case Selection NEXT) & (STEP/SLOW) on DVR-645h-S remote control.
So can I use DVR-330-S Remote Control to control the functions stated in the bracket above on DVR-645H-S ?

Yes, the 330S remote should work fine with the 645H. The only important button missing on the 330S remote is the one that chooses DVD or HDD mode. The front panel of the 645 also has a DVD/HDD selector, so you can use that instead. If you can find one at a good price, look for a remote that came with the DVR-530 series: these are the same as your 330S remote but include the DVD/HDD button. The model number for that remote is VXX2963 (see photo here).

I agree with you that many of the newer Pioneer remotes were not nearly as nice as the older ones. When I got my 2007 and 2008 Pioneers, I continued to use my 2005 remotes. Like you, I prefer the button positions and shapes, and find the gray buttons on silver background to be more readable.

Thanks , I cannot find DVR-560H-S with almost similiar function button on DVR-330-S in Malaysia yet , but I can get a used DVR-645H-S at around US$500 but I need to travell 400 km to get it personally from it's studio at KL cause I affraid that if I paid that amount and ask them to ship by air and when I got it , it's(DVR-645H-S) might not function probably.
So I'm still waiting for other sources that nearby where I'm staying so that I can go back to them easily if the player got functioning problem.
Presently my DVR-330-S occasionally still give me problem but I still can live with it ... until it fully breakdown then I have no choice but to buy a used DVR-645H-S or if I can find a DVR-560H-S.
