I'm working with compressed music files.

I got a successful file format conversion using AVS4YOU - a .tsp audio file (fancy MPEG-2), into an .mp3. But as a Free Trial task, I got the 'AVS4YOU DEMO' voiceover in the result file (all I needed to know was that it could be done).

I tried the same task in Audacity, but the result .mp3 played as a [still] compressed (I think) file - gibberish.

Anyone familiar with Audacity, to know what settings to adjust, to get from AVS4YOU, before the conversion executes?

I think it will be related to de-compressing function, but I cannot find that in either application. I think it also is related to AUDACITY being able to support the .tsp file format (even tho' is is an MPEG-2).

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2nd question; the AVS conversion, which worked, was converted to an UNcompressed file, roughly. Can conversion be done WITHOUT de-compressing the original file???

    Help?
