  1. Guys

I got a medical DVD with my MRI and i simply want to ISO or DAA it and save the file instead of the disc. Latest version of poweriso gives me an access denied when I try the 'make cd/dvd image file' option

I'm wondering if the DVD is write or copy protected. If so, what software should I use?

    Thanks

probably can't be protected if it was burned in a doctors office. isobuster? the images may need the software on the disc to view though.

    Need a LOT more info.

Can you play it at all on a PC? Can you play it on a DVD player? What OS does your PC have? XP may have issues with some formats (ie. HFS, UDF greater than 2.0). If you can see the contents when you put this in your PC's burner, what is on the disc?

  4. It plays only on a PC. It's nothing but a bunch of data files with the MRI and the software that plays it. For whatever reason when I copy over the files to my HDD, it doesn't play because I think it's looking for a certain path

Any other software I can try? Even isobuster isn't working

  5. It's probably a proprietary format, what are the file extensions(eg .dat)?

As jman98 mentioned are you using XP? If so it doesn't support UDF 1.5+, you need UDF Reader.

Well it's .exe files, dll, ini, cmp, etc

All i want to do is take a raw ISO out of the DVD image so that I can simply mount the iso virtually and get rid of the disc.

  7. Do you have "show hidden files" enabled in Folder Options? It's possible they hid the data. I know they do that on some CD-Extra to hide the video.

Can you do a printscreen of the ISOBuster layout of the disc? (Please include multiple images if it has subdirectories)

  10. what poweriso and isobuster could not do, nero did. I created an .nrg without problems and then mounted it with poweriso virtual drive manager with no problems.

Any idea why nero was able to accomplish this so easily?

    Thx

I'm done here. No normal person would ever install this on a home PC.
