http://now.msn.com/entertainment/0527-skipping-commercials-illegal.aspx?gt1=50501Fox, NBC, and CBS are incredibly miffed at Dish Network for providing a digital video recorder with an "Auto Hop" commercial-skipping feature (Fox already refused to show ads for it), and now they're attempting to convince a court that skipping commercials while watching a recorded show is illegal.

Here we go again.........
Leave my DVR alone! It does what I want it to so f* off!
(yes I just typed that - I am a tv junkie - deal with it)
Edit - correction I've come to live with the limitation that I can't file transfer a recording off the unit nice and easily like I'd like to but I accept that - hence why I have a hdpvr.
Edit - Oh and moviegeek - typo in the headline - its netwoRks
And what I mean by here we go again is all the hubub over napster and stuff - the hollywood and other industry bigwigs just want to make it so difficult to enjoy the 1% of entertainment that is actually any good that it almost makes it impossible to enjoy it on MY terms.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
