  1. Hi,

I am having trouble getting an avi video into AVIDemux.

When i open the file in avidemux it opens some wacky distrorted video with all of these crazy colors. I can see the main shapes in the background, but just barely and they are not in correct placement.

The avi file may be uncompressed. It is an avi that i exported from a 3dCAD animation. (Inventor 2010)

    Any help would be great.

    Thank you

  3. Hi,

Is there anyway i can get the info in windows somewhere. Its a company computer, and they have to approve all software that we download, which can take a while.

    Thanks

  6. OK, So i'm not sure where/what info you need, but here is what mediainfo was reading.

    AVI
    RGB
    32bpp raw RGB
    basic windows bitmap format

If that isn't the info, could you very briefly describe how to get it was media info?

    Thanks

  7. It's uncompressed 8bit RGB, but has alpha channel (might be dummy alpha)

avidemux should be able to open it, did you try most recent versions?

    http://avidemux.razorbyte.com.au/

if not, vdub should be able to open it

(I know , you have to bug IT dept. again)

Exactly what are you trying to do in avidemux?

  8. What I'm trying to do is get my .avi to play in reverse. AVIDemux seemed like the simplest way to do so.

I'll check with IT to see if they downloaded the newest version, but it came right from avidemux's website and its the 64 bit version so it must be pretty new.

    Thanks

  9. It seems to work now, I had to export it from inventor as a different codec or something (Compressed instead of uncompressed) Seems to work fine now. Thanks for your help!
