You would need to use screen capturing software to record the website. Than you'd use a webcam if you want to actually record you visually.

It would be quite simple if you just wanted a voice-over showing just the website. You'd simply use a microphone and talk during the capture. It would then be able to be saved as a single file and then you could upload it. I think most screen capture software should be able to record from a mic while recording the screen.

If you want to incorporate full motion video that will be a separately captured file. Than you would combine the two videos in a software can do compositing.

Check out vegas as aedipuss suggested. You might even be able to pull it off in windows movie maker. Not sure how elaborate you want to get. If you simply want to overlay it and have a split screen effect with the website on the left and your video on the right it should be quite simple. If you want it on top of the video and do panning and stuff like that it would be more complex. I think wmm can do SOME of that. If you want to have the different videos spinning and flying in and out of frame and all kinds of animated tricks you'll need a much more robust editing suite.

Though if this is intended for a wide audience and not just for you and a few friends remember to go light on editing tricks. Flashy stuff might be fun to play with but are quite distracting. Used sparingly to emphasize something can be effective (think of the pans and wipes used in the Star Wars movies to go from one scene to another). If you over use it you distract the audience.

Pinnacle has editing software you can check out as well. I don't know if they are still an independent company or if they got bought by somebody else but ULEAD used to have editing software as well. They may still have it but it may be under a different name - I haven't looked at their stuff in a long time so I don't know for sure.

Here's a link to get you started on capturing:

I think the bulk will be capturing to your computer from a camcorder or vcr but I'm sure there are sections on screen capturing.

    Good luck.
