My system is an 8 year old Compaq Presario with 2GB RAM and running XP SP3. Processor is AMD Althon 3000+ (2.16GHz)
The VLC Player or the MPC Player will not play MTS Files downloaded from a Canon HFR21 Camera. Do I need to do somethig else to play these files or they just not compatible with my system?
Any other player I can try? Codec needed?

it may be your cpu and video card are too old and slow to process the avchd video. try setting your videocam into lp mode(5mbps) and see if the comp can handle that. if not it may be time to upgrade the computer as there is nothing special about the video the cam produces.
