I try my best to stay a way from 1 click tools, anytime they are thrown a curve ball they tend to choke and die. Know the process and having the skill to perform it manually is always best method. Not that you always have to do the conversions manually but at least you have your options open.

But to answer your question If the flv to dvd process is giving you issues I would convert to avi, you'll find more tools that can convert avi DVD. Heres a guide to get you started: https://www.videohelp.com/guides/flv-to-avi-conversion-guide-using-virtualdub-id935#935

Try another 1 click tool. Freemake Video Converter or AVStoDVD.

  5. I have had this problem a couple of times with convertxtodvd.
Each time it was easily solved by simply updating my system's video codecs.

It works now but I also have another problem. It only converts 3 videos!!I tried loading 6 and then 5 and then 4 videos but each time, it only conerted 3 videos. When it started to convert the fourth video, it stopped and the process was done. In the end, the result was a 2.3 gb DVD. But this never happened before.

Sounds like you have altered the programs parameters. Try resetting to defaults:

    1. In 'Settings' click on 'Reset form positions'.
    2. in 'Settings>DVD menus', in the sub menu click 'Reset to VSO defaults' button.

See if that works. Good luck.

I am using convertxtodvd version 2. There is no "Reset form positions" under settings.

That's probably why, earlier versions were a bit flunky with flv files, it wasn't really made to deal with them. It's up to version 4 now, and I have to say it converts everything I have thrown at it. Very good software, actually, well worth paying the upgrade IMO.

But it works now with flv files. The only problem now is it stops converting when it comes to the fourth video. This happens not just with flv but also with avi files and all others. The weird thing is that this only happened recently.

You're not running out of hard drive space are you? Anyway it might pay (as suggested before) to post your problems at their own forums, the developers are on there and can help you out.
