    my DVD player plays SVCD's all jittery, if anyone has this DVD player how have you been able to play MPEG2 files on the DVD player, should i burn as VCD instead of SVCD in Nero???

    Make sure that you burn as VCD, not SVCD when following this guide.

    this didnt work for me, when I tried to burn it with nero as a vcd the "encode" message appeared...

    Tell it that you don't want to create a standard compliant disc. (Do this under "File...Compilation Info".
