Thread: crop video lossless.

    crop video lossless.

    Hey,

My video has a tiny green line going across the bottom. Ive imported it into encore at the moment, i was wondering if i can cover it somehow? or crop it with software (lossless)

Will encore allow me to cover it with tiny thin black image strip? Im trying to do it now but cant seem to get an image to overlap video? or must i use premiere pro and re-encode it again?

no cropping or overlay will be lossless. re-encoding is required. use pp and start over.

Cropping requires reencoding. You could crop it and at the same time reencode it to a lossless codec, but the file will grow to huge size.

I think you'd better be off focusing your attention on how it got the green strip to begin with. Is it some peculiar resolution? Is it something you created yourself, or did you download it from somewhere. What format is it in?
