i'm trying to load a video captured from my hauppauge PVR @ 1280x720 with the .mp4 file extention and when I load it in Vegas half of my video is cut off. When I look at my video properties while the file is selected in the open file window it's showing 720x480 or something similar to that even though the file is actually 1280x720? Does anyone know what the problem may be? I'm trying to explain the best I can considering that i'm new to this.

Can you post the mp4 details? Use mediainfo, view->text.

You could also try "remux" the mp4 to avi with mp4camtoavi or to a ts/mts file with rebox.net. Then open the avi or ts/mts in vegas.
