Hello,
I have been using my ATI AIW 128 Pro for about a year and a half now. At the time, I put it in my only desktop system (Gateway 550) and it worked perfectly with my sound card. My sound card produced nice, clean, stereo sound that was (IMHO) awesome.
I have just built a new system (2.0 GHz P4 with Intel chipset) and I wanted to transfer my AIW over to that system. I did and put a new sound card in (Creative Audio PCI 16). Now, when I capture, the sound is very empty (almost like it's mono, but I know it's stereo). So, I believe it is the sound card.
Well, I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on a new sound card (preferably under $100) that captures full, rich sound really well. I was looking at the Creative AudioPCI 512. Is that a good one or are there good cards beside the ones that Creative makes?
Thanks!
