  1. Hi guys i want to buy this card http://www.comprousa.com/en/product/e650f/e650f.html to replace my old pinnacle analog 110i card ( 7131e bit) this card also has mpg hardware mpeg2 encoder is pcie and component input (which is useful I'm in Europe and all my equipment have scart ( rgb) connectors so i can go scart to component route ). I wanted to buy some cards with ati 650 750 chip but in my country there is none ( not even used one). I also wanted some hauppage cards but also no one is selling them here. My other chooses are asus my cinema cards ( 713x 9 bit) i returned one today es3-110 combo card because had problems with sat tv and in vdub while capturing showed a lot of glitches, and kworld ( uses conexant 10bit) but no pcie only usb and kworld is not some company or it is ?. The card costs 100$ around the same as asus pcie and kworld usb ( no hardware ). My questions

    1. Can this card capture in lossless or uncompressed vdub trough component (possible ?) or just s-video ( site says yes ) being mpeg2 hardware card?
    2. Can i record from dvb-t in mpeg2 ( dvd compliant format and what program) so I can author in tmpgenc author w 4 without recompression
    3. The site says that the card has noise reduction from tv (can it do from inputs or only on tv tuner ) and interlacing ( hardware ?) is this possible?
4 Is compro reliable company ?

I need your opinion fast ( jagabo, edv,LS master and all others ) the company gives 2 year guaranty but i can't return it ( like the asus one no question ask within 15 days) if I'm not satisfied with the quality or some function that is not hardware fault of the card and the card is working correctly.
I don't expect miracles but is it going to be good for capturing ( because the asus disappointed me much) and the hardware mpeg2 encoding and dvb-t will be just bonus

It seems card doesent have mpeg2 hardware encoder only some vista certificate for encoder
So I gues number one question is answered
Is it not expencive for that?
    Thanks

  2. Anyone ?

I cant find any information on this card some reviews on internet are done by amateurs and say how great feathers are of the card and recorded with bundled software, they used it as pvr card and not with vdub capturing from vhs or other source. If card is not hardware mpeg2 card will it be able to record from hdtv ( dvb-t) signal with no problems ( i have quadcore 3.6 ghz ). Also i didn't seem to find if it support h264 ( mpeg4 ) on dvb-t ( doesn't that mean i can't find channels that are mpeg4 dvb-t there are around 20 or its all down to codec installed in the software and doesn't have to do anything with the card tuner itself or it must be mpeg4 compatible ( something like dvb-s and dvb-s2 in satellite, dvb-s cards can't tune dvb-s2)

  3. if you want a dvb-t/s card you should buy a card that only do that. technisat or technotrend have such cards.
Me personnally i have 3 cards one for dvb-t one for dvb-s and one for analog

  4. Well master i don't have where to buy technotrend or technisat cards ( new ) in my country and ebay and amazon don't ship here. I will probably keep skystar2 which is marvelous card for dvb-s a bit longer ( till dvb-s channels in Europe are grown considerer). I wanted some card for capturing ( pcie) and for dvb-t for local channels ( because analog will shutdown in 2012-2013 in here ). As I sad hauppage or ati cards are nowhere near me ( the alternatives in stores are asus or kworld ) asus pcie card ( that i told you before was not so functional and picture quality although newer nxp( Philip's) chip I'm not very impressed with the picture quality from vdub capturing it seemed very unstable and like it jitter allot ( like the card itself produced tbc errors ) while my old pinnacle 110i was rock solid and no waiving or jitter at all on the same material. I guess the card it self has very little components ( capacitors and such ) that make it unstable signal input ( i guess edv will know better). Because pinnacle is pci i don't have much space ( after i put back my audigy 2zs platinum pci and the other available pci is occupied by sky star ) so I have only pcie slots I have asus rampage formula x48 motherboard which has only 2 pci slots. Kworld on the other hand is much cheaper than compro one but has only usb and pci cards and looks like cheap company.
I wanted if someone had any experience with compro and another thing i wanted to know was did i need some hardware to catch dvb-t h264 streams ( while i had the asus es3-110 card i was able to catch couple channels in dvbviewer that were mpeg4) or is just all to software, if it so the compro one is only limited to mpeg2 dvb-t streams ( like skystar2 is for dvb-s not dvb-s2 ) which makes it very future limited and its expensive ( at least for my taste )
As alternative does anyone knows if amazon or other on line (Europe ) stores ship in Macedonia or Serbia

  5. Best way to get cards are on dedicated dvb forums generally, that's how i got my skystar 2 second hand for 15€ 2 years ago.Otherwise try ebay

One of the difficulties with making suggestions for people living on other continents is that the products being offered and even manufacturers are different from what exists in N. America. Compro doesn't seem to sell any TV tuner cards made for the N. American market.

Are there any stores selling AVerMedia products locally? I have a dual ATSC tuner card from them that works well for me. Maybe their DVB-T tuner/analog capture cards and AVerTV Satellite Trinity (DVB-S, DVB-T and SD analog capture) would be worth a look. I don't know how well their SD analog capture cards work for tapes versus other analog sources. I know their HD capture cards are very sensitive to irregularities in the signal and need a TBC when capturing tapes, but do a good job otherwise.

  7. Well i start to search on the mater and found some interesting things and more questions not answered than before

That is strange their site is http://www.comprousa.com/en/home.html so they must have for us market, they are Taiwan company that are some expert of tv cards but its strange that no one here knows something about their products. The flagship products have hardware mpeg 1,2,4 and hardware noise reduction 3 d y/c separation and component inputs, which is more then a lot of so called expert cards ( including old Canopus products).
I couldn't find some specifications of nxp chip ( is it 9 bit or 10bit) and how does it stack to conexant cx238x 10 bit chips.

Strangely enough i found one store in my country that has it aver media satellite trinity and is pci-e ( at least on their site i couldn't reach them on phone is saterday so they don't work) and its the same price as compro card but doesn't have component input and i don't know wich chip it uses ( is it philips/nxp or conexant )
On forums their is many positive reviews from people concerning tv and sat television watching but none so far concerning analog capturing ( which for me is important together with sat tv i dont care to much about tv or dvb-t)
