    hy guys,

    here is my idea: i ripped movie from dvd 720x480 but i cropped the borders, to 704x464. if i want to upload this video to youtube i guess youtube will not detect this as 480p and rencode it to 360p only? Am i right about this? In case of yes i want to add something to the video. maybe only black bars or some text at the borders. i dont like the idea of streching the resolution and reencoding the whole movie. is this possible?

    Nope. Adding borders requires reconverting.

    But have you tried upload to youtube? Make a short sample.

    well yes i just did it and youtube makes 480p out of it anyway. sould have tested it b4 posting this tread :/
