    While back I did some searching for a robust, versatile conversion program. I found Xvid4PSP, I can't import MP4 files to export to image sequences. Any personal suggestions ?

    avidemux supports many formats including mp4 and you can export to image sequence, file->save->Image jpg/bmps.

    VirtualDub with the DirectShow or MP4 source plugin.
