I have been transferring my cd's and dvd's to the hard drive of my computer. I would like to keep the disks but I am looking for a more compact media than the plastic cases they come in. I have bought some cheap albums before and found that after a while the plastic jacket sticks to the disk. Are there better alternatives?

The simplest are just the cake boxes that discs come in. If you must use sleeves, use Tyvek paper sleeves, not plastic. Tyvek is used for shipping envelopes and about impossible to tear. Or just get plain paper sleeves, which would still be better than plastic. Store in a somewhat cool, dry, dust free environment.
