Okay, I got a PAL Gamecube, which as i have read doesnīt have S-Video, and canīt be able to get it without a device.
So, what i want to be able to do is.
I want a TV to get the best picture as possible.
I want the Capture card to get the Best aswell though lower priority in this setup.
I thought of a way.
I have the GC(gamecube) video cable to scart (GC interface - Scart). Then i plug it into a splitter, there i plug two scarts.
One normal scart, that goes to the TV, and the other a Scart Adapter with the 3 RCA cables.
Is this possible?
I donīt know much about SCART splitters, as itīs kind of a mysterious cable with everything or nothing;D
Thanks

You have a TV or monitor that accepts PAL RGB? Note that PAL RGB is not component (YCbCr) video.

I have a Pal Television (Tube TV), and i have tested an Xbox RGB cable, and it worked, it also accepts, Scart-S-video (in the adapter).
So i am pretty sure it works

But as the capture card canīt accept RGB (and isnīt much sense to accept it anyway), i can live with it being composite as S-video is not an option without some pretty expensive equipment.

SCART can transfer composite, s-video, and RGB (though not all devices are required to support all three signal types). But the three systems share pins on the connector. So you must configure both the source device and the TV to tell it which system you are using. Cables like the ones you are using simply route the pins from the SCART connector to the pins at the end of the cable.

Yeah i know, but i am pretty sure it can handle RGB. I think i read that about all TVs in the Europe region can handle it. But S-Video is rare, and in other Regions (USA etc) itīs the opposite. I may be wrong though.
