  1. I'm trying to stream a video that is an .iso but the media player doesn't play that file so i have to find an alternative. What is the best container to convert to for no downgrade in quality if possible.

    Thanks in advance.

What streaming program are you using? Is it dlna compatible (the receiving device that is?).

Have you tried using tversity or playon (the free version does local streaming - pay version does internet streaming from sites like amazon, the last I used it).

You should be able to stream the iso with one of those programs. Also ps3mediaserver should do the trick too (should work on other devices besides a ps3).
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

The media player? Give more information.

You can convert lossless to a mkv with makemkv or a mpg with vob2mpg.

Thanks for the respond. I use a media player (HDX media player to be precise). I do also have an XBOX 360 along with tvsersity. I read that it doesn't play .isos so i haven't brother trying.

  5. Thanks, for the help. makemkv works like a charm.

  6. I don't know if it was just this certain rip, but after converting with makemkv the video was noticeably jumpy. Is there another ripper out there?

  7. If you just want to watch it once and can stream from a computer -- mount the ISO with Daemon Tools and share the drive. Or mount the ISO with Demon Tools and copy the VIDEO_TS folder to the USB drive.
