I'm looking for a backup deck that is similar to my JVC 9800 with DigiPure. Th DVS1 and DVS2 seem to fit the bill. Which of these two decks is the better deck and why? They both have DigiPure- but does that include the digital 3D YNR/CNR, digital sharpening, and the other digipure features my 9800 has? Is there anything my 9800 has that these DVS decks don't have? How is the picture out of the 1 or 2 model decks?
Also do these combo S-VHS decks use the same buggy VHS transport my 9800 does, especially with tape creasing problems?

According to the link below, the DVS1 has TBC, Digi-Pure, 3d YNR/DNR, etc. JVC's website might still have a download for the user manual, which you'd need anyway.

The only JVC VCR I ever liked for overall PQ was the old 7600. I managed to burn up two of them. The other models with DNR threw too many digital artifacts into the image, IMHO. Other opinions differ widely. If you like it, get it. Keep in mind that like most big companies, JVC no longer offers parts support for legacy products.Last edited by sanlyn; 21st Mar 2014 at 06:15.
