  1. hi, I live in UK. Recently bought a Panasonic TM900 from US. I am very happy with its performance. I am able to watch the vidoes on TV with no issues but having some NTSC to PAL conversion issues while writing DVDs.

HD writer software which i received with camcorder is not importing videos onto PC if i select my location as "UK". if imports the videos if I install the software with my location as "US" but it is not writing videos to DVD.

I tried with Nero HD multimedia suite 10 to write DVDs (Nero Vision) in both standard DVD video option and AVCHD video option. While burning the DVD i am selecting output mode as "PAL" and Nero is showing a message that videos are in NTSC format and will convert to PAL before writing and buring the DVD.

But I couldnt play that DVD on any DVD player and Either Windows Media player or VLC are not able play that DVD. Only Nero is playing that DVD with no issues.

can someone could help what could be the good option to go ahead. I havent tried writing the DVD in NTSC format and try to play it in DVD player. I will try it tonight.

    thanks in advance...

stick to creating ntsc dvds. most pal players can handle it and the hardware conversion done by the player from 30i to 25i will be better than a software conversion.

  3. it worked with HD writer software.. Not sure what changed .. I tried few days back with HD Writer got an error saying incompatible media.. but just given another try on weekend .. it worked now.. it recorded in NTSC format and able to play in DVD and Blu Ray playeres.. I tried with NTSC format with Nero.. No luck..

still a minor issue.. while playing the video in Blueray/DVD player video is pausing for a second or two between chapters.. is there any way to fix that or do i need live with that ..
