I can't remember the specific name for this type of shot I'd studied in film studies... I'm sure it begins with the letter 'E'? Basically referring to similarities in a shot. E.G. You see a picture of this girl, standing next to the girl is a cow. There are similarities... Same can be done in video editing when changing scenes to show similarities. What's the name given? Anyone know? Please help.

Ok, sorry. my bad. And like when there are similarities in a shot. So say there's a picture of a girl, with a cow next to her, symbolising that the girl IS a cow, what's the name of that shot type? It's also done in film scenes, like the camera shows a shot of a girl... Then the next scene/cut shot it films a cow, symbolising the girl is a cow. You know? I'm sure the shot type is called ex... something or other :S
