  1. hello, I use a HDTV (with one spare HDMI input) as my PC monitor I want to try to use that to record high quality HD Gameplay video without my PC lagging while capturing. also my sound is 5.1 from a creative sound card I would need this to be in-sync with the video captured. (impotent) If you could try this and get back to me, it would be great cheers

  6. You cannot get smooth gameplay and recordings simultaneously on the same computer with the Intensity Pro. It's too CPU and I/O intensive.

    Hi TommyGun,

    My Specs:

PC 1 (Game PC): Win 7 Ultimate 64bits, C2D E6600, 8GB RAM, 500GB HD, Geforce 9800 GT (DVI to HDMI cable), SB audigy 2 ZS and 22º Monitor.

PC 2 (HTPC) : Win 7 Home Premium, C2D E7300, 3GB RAM, 500GB HD, Geforce 9800 GT (HDMI to TV), SB audigy 2, AverTV HD Capture Card and 42º HDTV.

    My Setup:

Video: PC1 (1280x720) connected to PC2 via HDMI in AverTV Card (No monitor to PC1 when play and record)

Audio: PC1 Speakers Stereo output on PC2 Line input.

    My Records:

I use NERO VISION (720p settings) to record video because produce "Very High MPEG2 bitrate" and no LAGGY the "Capture PC".

Sometime I use Nero Vision with AVI settings for BEST IMAGE QUALITY, but produce BIGGER FILEs (1 minute in 720p - 2,5 gb with MLC lossless codec 0.8).

Theres a no secret.Configure both PCS and Play & Record.

For now I dont have published PC videos on YT, only Street Fighters games on EASYCAP USB capture (See my video quality for a 15 U$ Capture Card and PS3).

My AverTV is old model: http://www.amazon.com/Avertv-Definition-Analog-Capture-MTVHDDVRR/dp/B002SQE1O0

    Have any question, reply.

  11. If you have a graphics card with two video outputs, and one can output component video with standard HDTV properties (720p, 1080i) you should be able to use a Hauppauge HD PVR to capture on the same computer you're playing on. Set the component output to mirror the main monitor and route it to the HD PVR. The HD PVR has a hardware h.264 decoder so all the computer has to do is save the data stream to a file. That typically takes only about 1 percent of the CPU, leaving 99 percent for the game.

Only if your graphics card puts out component video at the DVI port. Not all do.

You would run that cable from the graphics card to the Hauppauge HD PVR. USB from the HD PVR to the capture computer (which can be the same computer you are playing on).

If you are using an HDTV as your primary monitor and only have a single output on the graphics card you could use that cable from the graphics card to the HD PVR, a USB cable from the HD PVR to the capture computer (which can be the same computer you're playing games on), and standard component cables from the HD PVR's passthrough connector to the HDTV. The picture via component is quite as good as digital DVI or HDMI.

  19. HDMI can deliver slightly better picture quality than component. But where are you going to get an HDMI signal that isn't protected by HDCP? The BMIP won't capture HDCP protected HDMI.

Looks like 1080i60 interpreted as 1080p30. Are your input settings set correctly? If you can't solve it though, it's easy to fold back unfolded fields with something like VirtualDub or AVISynth.
