For 1:1 copies you just have to use a ripper like dvdfab hd decrypter or anydvd hd. Rip and burn with imgburn. No conversion what so ever.

The process provides no guarantee. You're laboring under a misconception.
Like Baldrick said, depends on the player. Some won't play burned discs, some won't play phase-change (rewritable) discs.
But beyond that (and here I'm probably going to lose you), there are other hurdles to clear:
1) You have to start with a good rip. Keep your decrypter up to date, because new protections are constantly being introduced, particularly for the most popular movies. If you don't, eventually you'll come across a disc that seemingly rips okay, but it hasn't been fully decrypted (thinking Harry Potter 7 here). You'll be left wondering why the disc navigation is all screwed up.
2) Burn with ImgBurn only and use verification. Obviously, if the drive that burned the disc can't read it, nothing else will. That leads us to:
3) Use known good dics, meaning specifically that your burner will handle them okay. I tried some Merax (OptoDisc) discs that, according to the ImgBurn log, burned with no errors. If I hadn't used verification, it might have been some time before I found out that every single one was unreadable. Reading the reviews for these discs, it seems that some people could use them, but they were completely incompatible with my burner.
4) Not to belabor the obvious, but sometimes you get a defective BDR. Even Verbatims sometimes, though rarely.
So no guarantees, sorry. But follow the guide and, assuming your player cooperates, your success rate will be good.Pull! Bang! Darn! -
thanks for explanation i really appreciate it.
i have some BD50 verbatims are those reliable?
and is there a player that has highest chance of playing them?
i have a ps3 slim but plan on buying a Oppo BD-93
and what decrypter would you recommend i wall looking to buy AnyDVD HD
i also bought a LG WH12LS30 as my bluray burner -
I own the LG WH12LS30 myself.
Okay, here goes:
1) BD50s are dual layer, and it's in the nature of things that the failure rate is likely to be higher for those than for BD25s.
2) Most players should have no trouble playing burned BDRs. (But you did ask about a guarantee.)AFAIK, the PS3 will, and I suspect any Oppo as well. It was early Blu-Ray standalones that were chancy. But maybe someone will chime in here and tell us some that won't play BDRs.
3) AnyDVDHD is probably the Blu-Ray decrypter held in highest regard here. I've been using DVDFabPasskey, which works similarly (driver-level decrypter) and has been reliable.
4) Your burner will be fine with Verbatim (although I can't say about their LTH discs, haven't tried them yet). I've also burned upwards of 50 discs each of the following discs with no failures at all:
CMC MAG-BA3-000 (sold as Philips and Titan).
RITEK-BR2-000 (sold as RiData)
Stay away from OPTODISC, sold as Merax.
5) Again, use ImgBurn only and use verification.
Good luck.Last edited by fritzi93; 25th Sep 2011 at 20:48.

one last question how would i go about ripping tv show blurays?
i want to be able to rip off my bluray and have them as separate episodes in bluray quality audio/video
And how does dvdfabpasskey work?
Can that be used with anydvd HD?
From what I read dvdfab passkey is just a decrypter right?Last edited by extrafuzzyllama; 25th Sep 2011 at 23:43.
