Most of the time I play my video files with either VLC player or with Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPCHC)
I have some avi files with DivX5 encoding.
MPCHC.... opened the files and played them, but with jitter
VLC..... opened the files and played them, but even worse..... more jitter
Windows Media Player...... handled the files beautifully with no jitter or any other problems whatsoever
I prefer not to use WMP(variety of reasons)
So is there something I can do which will help MPCHC or VLC handle these DivX5 files better? Or is there another player which I should use?
Thanks
TC

I don't use or even have WMP installed..But if I did and it played a problematic video clip/video w/o issues, I'd probably just keep using it..Course it's all hypothetical because I wouldn't even install it, for a "variety of reasons"..
