    I have a Sony Bravia KDL26EX320 TV that I am using to stream AVI's from my Netgear Stora NAS box.

    Some files work fine, quite a lot however do not.

    I have ran a couple of the files through GSpot and it told me this.

    I am thinking that the TV is struggling to play the LAME MP3, but I am not sure. I have tried to search, but googling "Convert Lame mp3 avi" isn't very helpful.

    Does anyone know how I can convert the audio stream? If that is in fact the problem...

    It seems odd that the TV will not play mp3, one of the most common formats. The file that doesn't play is avi type 1.
    Try this: open the file in Virtualdub. Set video and audio to "direct stream copy"
    file/save as avi. ( to save a new copy)

    Does the new copy work?

    Thanks for the replies.

    @davexnet

    I did that in Virtualdub and it streams perfectly to the TV now. Thanks very much.
