why is it that mac is so bad with converting one format video to another? currently i have macx video converter pro and it for the life of me will not convert flv to any other format successfully. the video is sped up for some odd reason, and this didnt happen before.
so i've been trying to look for another video converter program for the mac, but have yet to find one that can do different video formats. i know of handbrake but only does two formats. i'd like one like tmpgenc 3.0 xpress, where i can crop video in any way i want, and convert any video file to any other video file, as well as combine several small clips into one clip. tmpg did all this but sadly they dont work with mac, and yes i know i can use parallels, but i dont wanna run another os in my mac os, it just slows things up too much. so any advice?

Avidemux.
I solved the Parallels "slows things up too much" issue by upgrading to 8GB RAM for $50.
