Ellion HMR 500 Media Recorder

Hi everyone,

Not sure where this query should go, so I'm putting it in the Newbi section.

I'm interested in the Ellion HMR 500 AV-in Media Recorder/Player which can record from numerous AV inputs direct to a large HDD with an NTFS partition. The file is saved as an MPG file (unlike the HMR-700A, which stores in a special format on a separate partition). The HDD can be accessed by a PC via USB and the recorder can also access other HDD's (for media playback) via USB, which is just what I want for recording from my Sky+ Box and transferring to my PC without having to resort to using re-writeable DVDs.

Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere in the UK that supplies the HMR 500 range. I can get the HMR 700A and the HMR 351H, but both these use a separate file partition for the recorded media. The 351H also has a built-in Digital TV decoder, which I don't want.

So, does anyone know where I can get the 500 range and has anyone got any experience of the Ellion devices?
