    I need to ask you which Blu ray player plays most of the video file format like Picture CD, AVCHD, MP4, DivX, MKV, FLAC, WAV and other audio/video/picture files on recorded discs I want to know before I can purchase Blu ray player

    Do you care about region free DVD and BluRay disc playback too? It will restrict the answer if you do.

    I don't understand your question but I usually play movies in avi, mkv and DIVX format and I bought sony 580 model but it doen't play these format movies from usb drive port Is it possible if I can modified blu player and make playable these format of videos

    PS: What does mean region free DVD ?

    I got it bro I have sony model 570 too so if I can make 570 region free Can I play mkv, avi and divx format?

    I have a panasonic and it plays just about everything. I play bluray backups in AVCHD with no problems. Best to google it to see exactly all the formats it plays, but I like mine alot. It's a year or so old so my model no. isn't important, but it was only around $100 then and the sound and picture are fantastic. Oppo of course is outstanding, but you pay for it.
