  1. I have managed to order some infiniti 99minute cdr's which is a lot more usefull time than 80 minutes as many more movies will fit into this time bracket. Depending on what burner you have determines the amount of data that you can burn to these CD's. I currently have a sanyo CRD-BP1500, which according to infiniti's compatability list will hold 89 mins 59 secs. The Lite-on 24102B will hold 99 mins 05 secs, and I am thinking of purchasing one. Does anybody have any opinions on this burner and in particular has anybody used it with these 99 min CDR's

I have the Lite-On 24102b and have used several 99 minute CDR with it. I have been able to overburn several discs with this media. I am using Nero. I don't remember actual time, but I know I did a VCD that went over the 850 MB, but under the 99 minutes. I burned several CompUSA disks that were rated for 16X, but I burned them at 24X. As for putting regular music on the 99 minute media and what they work in I have not tried that. I have an MP3 deck in my car so all my CDs now are MP3 discs. Usually I can fit more than enough on an 80 minute CD. The only thing I regret is buying this one too early. I bought this one and about two weeks later the 32X came out for just a little more than what I paid for my 24X.

  4. By the way infinity state that the 32 speed burner can only burn upto 90 mins and 4 secs so the 24 speed would still be my first choice.

Ps if you overburned VCD's did they still play ok in your stand alone DVD player

  6. My apex 1500 plays them fine. Only weird thing is the playback minutes is doubled on the LED for a 40plus min svcd. My burner is a lite-on 24x.

  7. I have the LITEON 24x Burner...... And using the Infinity 99 I can only get them to burn to 97 min..... But also bare in mind that not all DVD standalones will play em'...... My player and a few I've tried them on wont play to the end of the disc...... just starts jumping and glitching towards the 90 min mark.

Have you tried your 97 min vcd on a pioneer player, I dont really want to shell out for a burner that will give me 9 more minutes if my standalone DVD wont play it.

    I have a pioneer DV636D

  9. where can i get 99 min cdr from?

  10. @craigtucker: Yeah, it works on a DV-343, but I have to add that I just tested 90 minutes, not 99 minutes. I felt I was on the safer way since those 90 minute discs still are hard to get and are twice as expensive is 80 minute discs.

Does anyone know how I can transfer the contents of two 44 minute VCDs to a single 90 minute one? With new CDRs this is possible, I just don't know how to copy 2 VCDs to one disc! Do I have to extract the original MPG from the DAT file?

    Help!

  15. Use a HP 9100B and a HP 9500 Burner and can burn to 98min. 45 sec. using the 99min. CD-R's from CompUSA.
    work perfect in Apex 500W, 600a, 660
Have to burn them at about 95min. to work correctly in Daewoo 5700 any longer and they tend to skip.
    Using Nero 5.5.2.4 and 5.5.5.1.
