    Hi all,

I'm after some suggestions for software to use with my home cinema.

I have a projector which I have connected to a pc (which I only use to play music and movies), along with a normal monitor.

At the moment I just have windows installed and the projector is treated as a 2nd monitor. I want to keep things like this as I don't want any menus or selection screens being visable on the projector screen.

I just want some software that will allow me to create playlists of videos and music. At the moment, I just use Media Player Classic, but I want something a bit prettier and more user friendly. Maybe a front-end for MPC?

I don't really like dedicated HTPC software like XBMC because they generally have too many features that I simply don't use. I basically just want something like MPC but more attractive and easy for anybody to use without the potential for them accidentally changing all my settings.

  2. I'm a big fan of PotPlayer. It has an amazing array of options and allows you to set up or use playlists. In full screen mode it will hide it's controls until mouse to the bottom of the screen.
